NREL: MAJORITY OF EXISTING TANKS CAN STORE E15+

A NREL technical report says the majority of existing underground storage tanks can store ethanol blends above E10.
In a technical report released on May 27, 2015, the National Renewable Energy Lab says “the majority of existing underground storage tanks (UST) can store blends above E10.” NREL also found that all existing piping manufacturers had UL listings covering up to E100, and pipe thread sealant (pipe dope) makers have been making product compatible up to E20 for many years.
