The National Farmers Union and National Corn Growers Association have published a white paper looking the economic effects of a reduced Renewable Fuel Standard.
A new white paper from the National Farmers Union (NFU), and National Corn Growers Association (NCGA) highlights the potential economic damage if a reduced Renewable Fuel Standard (RFS), goes into effect. The study, which can be read by clicking this link, notes that "The USDA announced last month that net cash income for American farmers and ranchers is forecast to decline by 26 percent in 2015 from peak levels in 2013. 1 That devastating forecast is worse than originally projected, 2 and it represents the lowest farm income levels in nearly a decade, 3 and it could get worse."
The white paper was made public on October 8, 2015.
