ACE Welcomes U.S. Representative Angie Craig to 34th Annual Conference in Minneapolis, Minnesota

The American Coalition for Ethanol (ACE) is pleased to announce it will host U.S. Representative Angie Craig (D-Minn.) to provide a special address during its 34th annual ACE conference next week. Representative Craig will be featured in the slate of morning general sessions on Thursday, August 19, welcoming attendees and providing an update on biofuel issues from her perspective on Capitol Hill.

“Increasing the use of ethanol expands markets for family farmers, supports economic growth in rural America, and reduces carbon emissions,” said Representative Angie Craig. “I’ve seen firsthand how Minnesota’s rural communities have grown due to the expansion of biofuels and that’s why I look forward to addressing the ACE conference crowd of ethanol producers and family farmers about the work being done in Washington to expand and protect the marketplace for low carbon biofuels.”

“ACE is delighted to host Congresswoman Angie Craig at this year’s ACE conference in her state of Minnesota,” said Brian Jennings, ACE CEO. “We look forward to hearing her remarks about the steps Congress is taking to support ethanol, and to thanking her for her leadership in recently introducing bipartisan legislation to allow retailers to sell E15 in all parts of the country year-round, and her support for other critical biofuel issues.”

Representative Craig has supported several key biofuels policy and legislative issues this session, including sponsoring and cosponsoring important bills like the Year-Round Fuel Choice Act and RFS Integrity Act.

The 2021 ACE conference takes place August 18-20 at the Renaissance Minneapolis Hotel, The Depot. The August 19 general sessions will also include an update from ACE leadership. ACE CEO Brian Jennings will be joined by Ron Lamberty, ACE Senior Vice President, and Dave Sovereign, ACE Board President, Chairman of Golden Grain Energy’s Board located in Mason City, Iowa, and a board member of Absolute Energy’s plant located in St. Ansgar, Iowa, in discussing the events of the past year and upcoming opportunities for ACE members. Attendees will also receive a status update on clean fuel policy work and be able to participate in a timely discussion on how to address volatility in commodity markets, crush margins, and strategies for staying profitable while balancing the demands on working capital.
