Redfield Energy Celebrates One Billion Gallons Produced
American Coalition for Ethanol (ACE) member Redfield Energy, LLC in Redfield, SD, has celebrated its 1 billionth gallon of ethanol production. This milestone is an achievement that recognizes the efforts of employees, investors and farmers for over 18 years of work and dedication from the forming of the company until now.
"ACE congratulates Redfield Energy on achieving this significant milestone, a testament to nearly two decades of unwavering dedication to its mission and community, and to the hardworking men and women who have played a role in helping the plant reach this billion-gallon mark," said Brian Jennings, CEO of ACE. "We are especially grateful for the leadership of Redfield Energy board director Troy Knecht, who has represented the company on the ACE board of directors. ACE is proud to support our member Redfield Energy and looks forward to creating new opportunities that will unlock access to clean fuel markets as they produce their next billion gallons."
Redfield Energy, LLC, is a dry mill plant that has the capacity to process approximately 22 million bushels of corn into ethanol per year. The plant produces approximately 230,000 tons of modified wet and dried distillers grain, which is sold to the local and West Coast markets. Since production began in April of 2007, Redfield Energy has processed over 350 million bushels of corn delivered by truck from the surrounding area. In that time, the company has produced over 3.7 million tons of distillers grains for feed, over 220 million pounds of distillers corn oil that is used in both animal feed and as a feedstock for biodiesel and renewable diesel, and of course, 1 billion gallons of ethanol.
Redfield Energy hosted a golf outing and steak supper in July to celebrate hitting this impressive milestone. Ron Lamberty, ACE CMO, attended (L).
